‘Collaborative Residencies' are a creative way for professionals to connect, collaborate, and build community.

Last year, I began using LinkedIn to organise stays with people across the UK and Europe — a way of turning acquaintances into friends, and a way of travelling that’s rooted in community, reciprocity, and the sharing of professional skills and interests.

So far, I’ve been hosted in Wales, Paris, and Amsterdam.

My exchanges have involved collaborative problem-solving with fellow facilitators (above), touring local community gardens (below), and writing about my experiments and experiences.

The LinkedIn posts I’ve written about the concept, and my experiments so far, have been amongst my most successful. And others are also starting to take up the idea and the approach.
